I am meeting with the surgeon tomorrow for a consult and just an opportunity to ask him questions. I will be having a short section (only couple of inches) of small intestine removed due to scar tissue from an area that was once inflamed. I've developed a list of questions, but wondering if all of you wonderful people who have gone through this before would be able to help me think of more questions to ask him. I'm extremely nervous about
the surgery!
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Ask about
a pain pump after surgery. That way you are able to give yourself pain meds as needed instead of waiting for the nurse.

I would ask about
alternatives (just in case there are any), recovery time, what kind of presurgical prep is required, and potential complications.
