Just wondering, is it ok for me to take Immodium every day? How is the Crohn's stomach tolerating it? I was just thinking about
using it for a week until i get home from my vacation.

I use it every couple of days when I start to have to go every time I eat.

My GI has no problem with me taking it. It does however, make me very bloated an gassy..even the anti gas kind.

I took it every day during my last flare (about
3 weeks). I know the box tells everyone to not use it for more than a certain period of time, but we're not everyone else and we need it a little bit more severely.
I didn't have any problems with it, and the bloating and gas actually started to go away every once in a while.

My GI said if it works for me (by keeping my BM's down to a reasonable number during the day) then take it. I simply use the Wal-Mart liquid Equate brand!
I don't LIKE taking it because it makes me feel full and constipated at times but if I were going on vacation, that's much better than having to rush to the bathroom every hour or 2.

My GI Doctor said to take one regular Immodium after every "bathroom visit", up to 6x a day! It is my friend and confidant! Can't leave home without it! It stops my cramping and is a lifesaver for the.... on the bus, or on a plane times that their isn't a bathroom available.
