I think my system is completely backwards. I can not tolerate any citrus, pineapple including the juice only is killer I have pains within minutes, one banana will knock me down for 3 days even if I am not really in a flare, watermelon is a super bad idea for me but occasionally I will sneak in a bite or two and hope my stomach doesn't notice, ha ha. I cannot tolerate lettuce unless I am in complete remission, but I can eat spinach greens no problem. However, the rediculous part is I can eat unlimited jalepenos and bell peppers, cabbage, broccoli, onions raw and cooked, and I can tolerate a lot of tomatoes. I cannot do canned corn at all but I can do fresh corn on the cobb almost daily during the summer, I think because as I bite it off it breaks it up a little more, I can also eat honey dew canteloupe, grapes and strwberries without any regrets.
I soo miss fresh oranges, and a salad with dinner when we go out to eat. My husband is still mean and orders one even though he knows it kills me to watch him eat it, he does let me dip my bread in his ranch dressing though.
I never realized how much I love food until I was restricted on what I could eat, darn this disease!!!!
