Not much time, but I wanted to say Hi. I posted in What's in a Members name. Check out my post about my new unsolicited background music for Healing Well. I was offended when they tried to use Johnny's song for a Heme preparation ad, and someone knows it!

Gail (gachrons) has her own blog and doesn't post as much, but does pop in here and there. VV is around every few days, and I think Sniper might be on vacation. Snohare is around, I have seen him posting recently. Hope that helps.

Sorry I didn't respond Margie, I've only been online very briefly once in a while recently. I've been busy getting ready to move house to the highlands, while gearing up for growing things in several different locations, learning to drive etc. Sheesh, I can't wait to fall in a heap in my new house, by August I will be ready to ! But come autumn....the return of snohare. (We wabbits are seasonal craiturs, ye ken.) smilewinkgrin I even have a new avatar picture picked out for use on forums... yeah
So how's things with you ?

  Sorry I forgot to label this post "OT". It's great to hear from you. I'm having a busy summer, just like the others. I sure miss the humor, though.

   The reference to "Johnny's song" was a reference to "Burning Ring of Fire" a song by American icon Johnny Cash. My neighbor, a ham radio operator, broadcasts this and some other songs, one at a time over and over for days at a time. I bleeds over my computers speakers, and started up one day as I was logging into Healing Well,Crohn's forum. I posted about it in "What's in a members name?"

   Several years after Johnny Cash's death, a company had bought rights to market a few of his songs for commercials and other promo. A company planned to use the song for a hemorrhoid remedy ad. John's children went to court, got an injunction, and later a judge said that the use was too contrary to the spirit of the song, and the ad was never used.

    Your move sounds great, ok, after the move anyway. Here's to good health through it all!!!

Sno I cain't believe you don't have your driver license by now and I have been busy always doing something I guess ,I checked in a few times .Happy moving..lol gail

I think the driving thing is imaginary :-) Can't imagine he does not have it down by now! He should be able to pilot a plane or ship across the big pond, after all those lessons. Just kidding Sno, hope all is well for everyone.

idea Weeellll....I did pass my Test on Thursday, so I suppose I can consider myself proficient at least.
I certainly made my instructor's day, he was more delighted than I was ! (Probably because he can now stop worrying about having to seize the steering wheel. He thinks.) Turns out there is a follow-on course called Pass Plus to teach better driving in traffic, bad weather, on the motorway, and I qualify for a grant for that, so I am hoping to sign up with him for that. yeah smilewinkgrin
Give me a couple of years, and I will have graduated from hang gliders to light aircraft, and then I am coming to visit y'all... turn
Meantime busy boxing up my possessions. Fourteen boxes for the big bookshelves in my study alone; not finished there yet, and I have five other bookshelves to do ! shocked You may appreciate why I am so rarely here at present, I am up to my eyebrows between growing and going...
