hadnt had a fever since the antibiotics in april and may.. last night  almost 103 all night. and to make it better, our refridgerator crapped out yesterday!  so all my TPN is in coolers, with ice packs . luckily or unit has 2 separate systems for the freezer and fridge, so the freezer is fine at -6..  so we can freeze the packs untill the part comes in .   of course it has to summer and hot istead of freezing outside, we could have just put the stuff in the snow in the winter. wife wants anew one, but dang if this one is only 6 years old and to replace with the same stuff is 900 plus 100 in sales tax, while the repair is going to be 360.  smilewinkgrin

I'm really sorry to hear thought. I hope it all gets sorted out real soon!

To bad your not in Montreal, we aren't getting to much of a summer( allot of rain and cool temps)

im melting, melting.. i feel like the wicked witch and just melting into my self... 104.2 at last check. i guess ill have to go to the er sunday if it doesnt break by morning. :o(

Oh Randy!! I had hoped these fevers were over. You are just one hot guy! Please go to the ER -- that fever is there because of something. Watch out for dehydration too. Take care!

I agree Randy I think you should go ahead and hit the ER. Better safe than sorry!

My 5 1/2 year old frig died on the Fourth of July. Only in my case it was cheaper to buy a new one than get it repaired.

Hope they get this fever figured out, and "butthead" is not trying to return.

It never rains but it pours, Randy. Sorry to hear that Murphy has taken up residence on your shoulder again. Sheesh! Hang in there, guy. (((hugs)))

Our old frige lived for 30 years and was running fine when we replaced it but it was due for new seals and we couldn't find any for it. It was one of those frost-free friges and every few years it would mess up and while "freeing the frost" some of the "melted frost" would get re-frozen whilst it sat over the drain. We paid to 'fix' it the first time - after that we knew enough to clean the ice out of the drain ourselves. AGGRIVATING!

Randy...let us know how you are doing. I hope you did go get some care at the ER.

I still say you can move up here in the coolness...like our Montreal friend above, Western NY has not had much sun this summer.

Randy - if you need a place to store your TPN until repairs are made, I'd be willing to keep it at my house. I'll even deliver ... Send me an email or call if you need my help.

thanks everyone : :00 )).. (double smily) ides, no we got the cooler. we use them on vacation too so everything good that way.. i went in this morning and they did some blood cultures etc.. fever broke about 6am today with the gushing of sweat that i have not seen in while i could have rung out my PJ's so wont know anything for a couple day i guess untill the cultures grow or not. just feel weak.

I hate to say this....but I hope the cultures grow. or at least you get some answers. Glad the heat broke...are you drinking some G2 or such...want you to stay hydrated, not just your jammies. Not sure what you can or can not do to hydrate.

I am glad you are feeling better and your fever is gone. Hopefully your cultures will give you some answers.

Yesterday my 6 year old frig stopped cooling and then the dishwasher quit. My husband was ready to shoot the frig full of holes because of course the warranty just ran out. The funny thing is we had to transfer all of our food to the 20 year old frig we have in our garage. They just don't make them like they used to.
