My daughter has a ton of food allergies, so we use soy and rice milk. It is extremely watery - looks like very diluted skim milk. The vanilla is quite good. This is what I would use on cereal. I don't recall noting much taste on the regular kind. I combine it w/lemon juice to make buttermilk for my daughter's wheat-free, everything-free pancakes, and they are quite good, too. I would definitely give it a try.
