new lialda...6mp...remicade weight gain?

i take 6mp for my fistulating crohns....soon lialda.. does anyone else take lialda? if so how is it working for you? and does anyone know if remicade makes u gain weight? i am off of it now but just realized that i gained weight while on it anyone else have that problem?

Remicade made my son gain weight, but it was "catch-up" weight and only a result of him being healthy for a change. It was desperately needed weight, not unwanted weight. Once he'd caught up to a normal weight, it stopped.

I was originaly on Lialda just after my diagnosis. It helped, but not enough for me (had to switch to Humira). Even though it didn't get me into remission, I definitely helped alleviate my symptoms. There was a period of time when I was off Lialda before I started the Humira and I was miserable. Everyone's different, though and I have heard it has helped people achieve remission, so good luck.

I have not tried Remicade, though it is my next step as Humira doesn't seem to be working much anymore. I have not heard of any unneeded weight gain with Remicade.
