Pneumatosis? Anyone have this?

Hi guys!!

Just wanted to ask kind of a brief question to anyone who has shown to have something called Pneumatosis or free air, not sure if they are the same thing or not, in their colon or elsewhere during a CT scan read or similar?  If so, what do you do to treat it?  Or symptoms of it?

Also, while I'm on here, I minus well ask something else.. if anyone reading this has ever had a blockage or similar.. is the only thing to cure it emergency surgery?  for people with chronic inflamation and pneumatosis etc.. is the only way out of getting through a stricture/blockage/tear 911 surgery?

Nanners, thanks for your response.  I'm really confused as well as to what pneumatosis is and there's really not a lot of information about it on the internet. My own doc just says "if symptoms get worse, then you need to go to the ER for surgery"???????  he openly admits he has no clue what to do so thats why i'm confused, asking on here.
