Good evening to all. I really really hope everyone is feeling ok!
Here's the deal: Went to fam. doc. today. He wouldn't even discuss fibro or CFS. He just said that the treatment for either is anti-depressants which I can't find one I can take. Then as we talked about all the symtoms, he suddenly said "but you don't have any nausea do you?" I replied, "If you would take a min. and look at my chart, you'll see that nausea is second only to severe fatigue". I was not very happy with him. He also doesn't belief that I need any estrogen or testoterone replacement therapy, said that post menapause us women aren't supposed to have a high level. I said (sorry for the direct approach here) so my vagina feels like new, thick sandpaper and my sex drive is totally non-existent, I'm supposed to feel this way at my age???? He said he would just let my GYN take care of that, as if I would let him!!!
He finally talked to me about "ADDISON'S Disease". Ever heard of it? I looked it up, I have had all the symptoms for 3 years----with a detour of Crohns. My blood pressure this morn at his office at 9AM was 80/52. Everytime I have gotten sooooo sick in the past 3 years, my bp drops. Then eventually like last time, the crohns gets going.
Main question is.....what kind of doc or specialized doc should I be thinking about if the tests are abnormal? Takes about 4 days to get results, so I won't know til about Monday. He's checking the "serum cortesol". If abnormal-He wants to do another, I give blood, take a shot of ?, then give blood. Then take it from there.
I'm sorry for talking so much!!!!
Thanks for all your help (again!)
