   Are crohn's and high blood pressure linked? I just found out I now have high blood pressure and was just wondering.

Not for me. If anything, I have slightly low BP. I understand that you may be able to reduce your BP by drinking lots of water. It will take a while for your system to adjust to extra water, but eventually the extra water in your bloodstream will make your arteries expand to accomodate it and less pressure is needed to push the blood through the widened arteries. At least that's the story I've been told. If you have been suffering from D, you may be dehydrated and will need more electrolytes to absorb any extra water.

I have high blood pressure too. No one in my family has it or Crohns, so for me I think Crohns is the cause. JMHO

I have borderline high BP. Pain can cause your blood pressure to spike, so if you're constantly in pain, I would think it would affect your bp.

I have high blood pressure. My cardiologist hasn't said anything about it being related to my Crohns.  So, that's a good question.

It just seems that once you have crohn's everything else gets triggered somehow......

I have slightly low blood pressure, nothing scary, but it comes from taking pain meds, and maybe exercise.
