Colonoscopy could not be completed

Two days ago I had my yearly colonoscopy to see how my Crohns is doing.  My Gastro showed me my images and told me that he was not able to finish because of the swelling in my small intestines and he was using the smaller camera.  The strange thing is that I have not had any pain in relation to this swelling.  My Gastro is worried that I will have a blockage in the near future.

Has anyone  else had this situation before?  Horrible inside yet no pain or other symptoms of a normal flare up?

Yes, but my problem was the swelling/inflammation was so bad right at my butt hole that he couldn't get the scope in...I have perianal crohn's skin tags (located right on the outside/inside of the anus).

They really can't get into much of your small intestines via a colonoscopy since the scope just doesn't go quite that far, only the first bit of the small bowel that is joined to the colon.

Yes, my daughter had no strong symptoms, like pain, when the first colonoscopy was done three years ago, and the doc couldn't get into the TI because of the inflammation. 

The good news is that, with medication and diet, her stricture eventually vanished, because it was due to inflammation and not scar tissue. Hopefully, with the right meds, etc, your inflammation will settle down, not leaving a stricture behind.

I am going to start back on Endocort. I respond quickly to it. I was trying to live on Diet Alone. I spent 2 months in Europe last fall and my Crohns basically disappeared to the point where I was going to the bathroom once a day. I believe that it was due to a lack of perservatives in the food. So I have adopted a non perservative diet with as much organic foods that I can eat. So I am sticking with it and have seen some improvement Thanks for your advice and help. I am hoping that it calms down by itself and I have a few more years of good living.
