hi there
ihave a problem with fibre as i have a stricture and too much fibre causes a bliockage, especially if there is any inflammation as well. what i do is blend vegrtables into a mushy soup making sure they are well cooked. if you dont throw away the water then you are not losing too much nutrition. i have sucessfully added leeks, broccoli, kale. cabbage, cauliflower and carrots without any problems so that might work for you.
i have had a year of being in and out of hospital with abscesses on my bowel and surgeons insisted i needed a resection, but in the end i decided i wanted to see if i could heal my bowel with diet. when i came out of hospital i was put on an enteral diet which is just liquid food in cartons, it gives the bowel the least work so gives the best chance of healing. i took other supplements too and then gradually added soups, mashed potato, fish, fruit puree and so on. if i get a problem with anything eg hummous dont eat it again.
so far six months out of hospital and no bowel problems at all so far. this is just what works for me, everyone is different. best of luck!
