After having to stop Remicade, I went on a clinical trial for Cimzia for about a year. When it ended, I decided to switch to Humira instead because I was still having arthritis problems. Humira kept my Crohn's in remission, but really seemed to lose effectiveness after about 6 months. For some reason, none of my docs can get it approved for weekly use, even though many people on here get it weekly (they just stopped trying after so many different insurance companies said no). After being in an athritis flare for the last 9 months, I just switched back to Cimzia and I've got to say that it is helping more with the arthritis than the Humira did for me.
Humira hurts but is over quickly. It's much more convenient than Remicade and normally cheaper (depending on how your insurance bills it...medical procedure vs medication). I definitely prefer Humira over Remicade, but think that Cimzia is my favorite right now.
