Sorry if this post is gross, but I would rather as you fellow cronnies than spend the time and money at my dr if I can get the answer here.  When I pass gas, I have a "discharge" that I think is mucous but from what I have read that is clear or yellow in color and this is more of a tan color.  It isn't "poo" because it is a different consistancy.  (is  it sad I can tell that?).  Can someone tell me if they have had this and if they think or know if it is mucous?

Again, not dinner topic, but typically I find mucous to be "stringy" and it kinda "flutters" around in the water.

Mucous wears many hats LOL...in the water it can look stringy, it can float or it can sink, depends on the fat content mixed in with it which is also why it can wear many hats....sometimes it looks very much like snot (also mucous) and it can be pretty much be any color, dark, clear, yellow, brown, red (usually indicates some blood)...chances are it's mucous, but if you're concerned then definitely talk to your doc.

Thanks. I kinda figured that's what it was but I wanted to make sure since the color didn't match what some of these websites say it should be. I am sure the fat content is high which is why it is different lol

The high fat content may be a sign of pancreatic insufficiency. Pancreatic enzymes digest fat normally, so maybe you should run this by your doctor?
