I want to rip out this seton..i would rather have an abscess w/I&D ...

I am new to this site too. I am so scared after reading all of this because I am suppose to have surgery to get a Seton drain put in. When I went to see the surgeon over a month ago he made a incision in his office and I felt so much better that day. For some reason something keeps filling up (abscess or fistula or both) and I have to wear a pad everyday because of all the draining that is coming out. At first it was only a huge hard lump on my right side but now i feel something under my tailbone and on the left side. I also still feel something bulge under the incision site every few days. I am not sure if this is one big abscess or different ones. At this point all I do is lay in my bed or go sit on the couch so I can spend time with my kids and husband. If I stand it feels like a lot of pressure and starts to hurt after a while and then the next day I usually start draing like crazy (more then on a usual day). I also put a post up asking about abscess's and drains. I am really scared now after reading everything that I don't have a clue of what to do. I am to scared to take anything but extra strength tylenol. I have 5 kids and can't afford to feel worse then I already do. I can't believe all this is happening and hearing these stories is only making the anxiety I have kick up into full gear. I was actually looking forward to finally getting the drain put in after I got over my fear of having surgery and now I am scared to death again. The bad thing is I also have really bad hemmroids that need to be taken care of surgically and I assume that this is something that would need to be done before the drain is put in or at the same time and thats only going to make the pain 10 times worse, i assume. I have no clue on what to do but I am very sure I can't stay like this because I am living my life around all these problems so I can get things done. Even when I make dinner i sit in a chair while i prepare everything. This is not the way you suppose to live.

I also have a lot of pain from having a cutting Seton that failed to take and three fistula plugs (over the past three years). Finally the surgeon has decided to use a silk Seton, which also cuts and causes drainage, bleeding, and pain. I can understand that it is hard to do the day to day task, even going down stairs causes pain and swelling. The incontinence issue is hard to accommodate for when I have to do a 10 minute sits bath after every movement, and twice more a day. How can someone work a job and do this? At first the doctor had me on two colace a day and now I'm take one a day.
My family doesn't understand why I can't do more to help out with extra things around the house such as loading the wood stove, and stacking blocks of wood or riding a lawnmower over a bumpy lawn with a Seton in place. So they judge me. I can definitely understand how someone could get depressed. They also don't understand why I don't go out and have fun. Who can feel like having fun with a full time major wedgie?
As far as ripping out the Seton. I have thought of that too, but the alternative is more staph infection and possible death if I kept the abscess. My abscess turned into MRSA that spread through my bloodstream because the one OBGYN did a procedure that she had no business doing. She opened the abscess from the wrong direction and spread it. MRSA caused me to have fevers, and cold chills all the time, elevated blood pressure, low blood sugar, felt so cold that when it was 80 degrees outside I had a heater on. People would stare at me for wearing a coat in summer. I'm definitely glad to be finally feeling better and warmer.
I have had 11 procedures in three years. The first was for a large right ovarian cyst, one for my gallbladder which was diseased from a small hole in it, and 9 where for the fistulas. Hopefully this is the last.

All I can say is that I take one day at a time and do the best I can with the circumstances that where dealt.
Hang in there all those who have had Seton placed. They are a lot better then the alternative.
