Back from the hospital

I decided to take everyones advice and called my GI about 4 am this morning.  I did so after waking up every hour sweating (pretty much hour on the hour).  I took a bath and that didn't help.  My GI told me to meet him at the hospital and he wanted to admit me to run tests.  I got there about 5 am and was taken back within 10 minutes.  I had the norm bloodwork, SED Rate, C recepasomthing (a more specific sed rate type test), started drinking the contrast for my CT scan and got some morphine for pain.  My GI disagreed with the radiation dr about the  amount of thickening in my small intestine.  However, the bottom line was that I didn't need sugery.  There was not a perferation or blockage that required sugery. I am going to start of reciemide within the next mo or so.  I got the TB test while I was at the hospital and the other blood test that he normally runs before starting it.  He is running one extra due to the liver diesase in my family to assure I am not at risk.  I am so glad I went. I feel so much better about the whole situation.  Thank you all so much for encouraging me. God bless

He sent me home with vicotin. Also, he increased my endocort to 9mg a day from 6mg. I go see him on wed for a follow up.

I basicly had the same situation happen to me recently! I was encouraged by my wife to finally go back into the hospital and am looking at starting remicade rather than surgery (the the time being). Keep us posted on how you do with the remicade treatments, curious as to how well it will do for you! Best of luck!!
