I am so sorry. I had an a@@hole GI before. I left him. He was a complete little jerk. He really did not care and did not know much.
The more I think about doctors, the more I think that they are some unusual people. Just find a female GI. She should be nicer. I do not ever want to go to a male doctor again. The female doctors will pat your leg at the hospital to cheer you up and smile. Go with them. If they are ugly, obeise, and abnormally short, run for your life.
Good doctors can be a man or a woman I don't think it matters, my GI is male and I love him, he always is really nice to me and he explains every thing he does really well and tell me why he is doing this and not that.
Of course I get mad at him sometimes like now I am not happy to have to wait so long to start Humira but I know it is for the best so we can get all the remicade out of my system before I start a new med.
He also knows I hate doing the prep for the scope so he lets me do it in the hospital so I can have full access to all the nice drugs they have ;)
My regular doctor is also a male he worked so hard to get my disability through the system and it worked, ones I asked if he could listen to my heart, I told him that it calms me down to know it is ok because of my anxiety, now he offers to listen to my heart every time I visit :) Such a sweet man.
But I have also have bad doctors but you have to just keep searching until you find something good. When you have a disease like Crohn's you have to be in a close relationship with your doc so you better have someone you like and likes you back ;)
