I'm green with envy. Huge windchill, ten feet of snow, drifting...sounds like an ice place to be !
Of course I know I have a reputation for being hare-brained, if not an axle short of a trailer. But you know, what use is a river if you can't go skating with trucks on it ?
Hereabout
s we are lucky to get more than a few days worth of snow on the hilltops at 3000'. I met a man recently who was discussing the "bad" winter we had last year when the ski-tow operators made money for the first time in a decade, and he said his 18 year old son had never seen snow before then. If you don't live in the hilly areas, you just don't get it in the UK anymore, not more than an overnight shower.
So if you guys are looking for something to export.... snow to build igloos to solve the UK housing crisis. With the sort of politicians we have in charge of the dwindling UK water and energy supplies, it should be an easy sell.
