Greetings.  I am new to this board, and this is my first post.  I have had CD for almost 20 years now, and for my past few scopes, I have used the pills.  Now that my doctor no longer allows them becauseof the possibility of kidney damage, I have to use HalfLytely.  I have not used this type of prep before, and the last time I used soemthing similar, it was the GoLytlely.  The container is a lot smaller, but that concerns me . . . more awful taste in a more concentrated formula.  I have the lemon-lime "flavor," but I was hoping someone has some experience with this product.  I dread starting the stuff tomorrow, but perhaps if someone can at least lie and tell me it is tolerable, I will not be as worried.  Thanks.

Call your doctor and ask them if you can do the Miralax Prep....its Miralax mixed with anything clear..and a few laxatives... if you look up miralax prep online, and call your doc and see what they say... My GI gave me the script for the HalfLytely and the GoLytlely...but I couldnt get it down, just the thoughts of it. So I looked online for the mirtalax prep, did that instead and my doctor was fine with that...whatever works, right!!!

I have actually done a prep with 8 Dulcolax only.  I know it isn't the best...but it did clean me out.  In this day and age..the Golytly et al. are old news.  I would also suggest asking about the Miralax.

ERANJO...what do you mix your Miralax with.  I had to do it with Gatoraid and I hate Gatoraid so much I couldn't get it down, hence the 8 Dulcolax.

I just did this prep last week. My doc refused to give me the pills this time also so I had to take the half stuff. The nurse told me to mix it with white grape juice. Mine also was the lemon lime flavor. I gagged it all down but it took me nearly 4 hours to drink it all. It says to drink a glass every 10 minutes. There was no way I could do that. I'd have thrown up for sure. It was a bit less horrid than that whole big gallon stuff but still not great. My suggestion would be to start drinking that stuff earlier than recommended in case it takes you longer to drink it all. Good luck.

a really good and easy prep to do is the Pico Salax. I've used it and so has my daughter. Highly recomnded

I did NuLytely and it really wasn't bad. It really did taste a lot like gatorade, but not as sweet. Though it is a lot to drink: 4L in 3 hours if I recall.

I did the MoviPrep last week and surprisingly it wasn't near as bad as I expected it to be.

I mixed the 32oz with (3) packets of Crystal Light Sunrise Orange mix - honestly it tasted like Tang, by the 2nd dose the next day I was quite tired of drinking it, but honestly it was the best out of all the preps I have ever done.
