Happy but confused about biopsy results

Has anyone ever gotten conflicting reports from CT scans, colonoscopy report from the doc and the biopsy?? The scan and scope were within 2 weeks of each other. I had a ct scan that said I had inflammation still in the colon. Two weeks later, I had a colonoscopy with biopsies. After the scope, they said I still had inflammation but it was looking better than the last time. I got the biopsy report and they said it was normal. Any thoughts about this? In mid december, I had an awful flare up that seemed to subside fast enough. I just don't know what is going on. I think I am happy about the biopsy results though, they could have been way worse!

It depends what they were looking for in the biopsy. The pathologist who read the biopsy may have been looking for cancer, granulomas, other stuff like that, and didn't find any, hence normal. But if the gastro who did the scope saw inflammation, it's there. And it could be that the specific site they biopsied didn't have inflammatory markers that they may have been screening for. Congrats on improving results, hope you keep feeling better!
