Tired!! Humaria?

My GI and I are talking about Humaria.  One of my questions is; will it help with the tiredness? 

I am sooooo tired.  I could almost stand the Crohns if I wasn't so tired. 

I made it a point of asking my doctor this morning about the tiredness ... he said get as much sleep as I can and eat healthy.  Is there anything else people do to combat the tiredenss? 

Going home to go to sleep now ...

my tiredness is one of my biggest complaints! I always know when my crohn's flares up, the rest of the day is shot because the exhaustion gets so bad! I was put on humira almost a year ago, and my crohn's seems to be more under control, although far from remission. But since its more under control the tiredness is not near as bad as it was. I think once your disease becomes a little more manageable, the tiredness will wear off. Just listen to your body and sleep when you need to! :)

I too have been really tired, i wake up and an hour later I'm exhausted. I just finished the loading doses of Humira and wednesday i give myself 1 injection. I hope this helps with tiredness.

I find that when my disease is flaring, I'm exhausted all the time. Or when my iron is low (have you had yours checked lately?).

The Humira gave me a good long stretch of no symptoms so my energy levels skyrocketed.

I too am tired all the time I could sleep all day & still be tired.  I can barely wake up in the morning to care for my children.  I've always been fatigued but in the last three yrs it is much worse.  I guess because I can not take naps like I could before kids;)  I actually take Provigil to help me stay awake.  Eventhough I'm awake I'm still beond fatigued and can still take a nap on it.  Why dont the docs listen to us when we tell them how tired we are.  We just want to have energy to perform like normal people, ok somewhat normal since we are living with CD.  Has anyone else take Asacol noticed an increase in fatigue when your doc ups your meds.  Looking for answers and feeling your pain;(  My doc wants me to start taking 6mp & I dont even know how I would function since I'm already so tired, I cant emagine being more fatigued

Ashyla - I've taken Asacol and 6mp since I was diagnoised with Crohns eight (?) years ago.  I don't know if it's those meds ... or maybe the Citalopram I take for depression.  When I first started taking the anti-depressant, it was months before I worked through the exhaustion. 

When you're taking a handful of meds ... how do you know which one is causing the side effects?

I still notice I am severely fatigued even on Humira and I take it 1 time per week. I have been on it now since the tail end of 07. My CRP however is still lsightly elevated showing I still have inflammation my GI said the inflammation is generally what causes the fatigue that and low iron levels and mine have been fine. hopefully if the Humira works for you as it did me initially when I went on double dose the fatigue will go away for a bit

Hi Dragonfly! I am waiting to go for consult for surg july 6 for colorectal fistula. I have tried all the meds too and they have failed me or me them. lol! anyway, i was wondering what tests were done before ur surg. they mentiioned that I will go have testing and then maybe right to surg. I may opt out of this so i can think through all the options. he gave me 3 top options for hospitals and have chosen the top one in for gastrointestinal with the top surgeon there. It is a delicate situation with possible grafting, bag, etc. any suggestions or links that might be helpful in my researching.
