Restless Leg Syndrome

Has anyone been dx'd with Restless Leg Syndrome? My leg will not sit still at night and it is very tiring.

I have, but its not just my legs i get it in my arms too - it is so infuriating and frustrating! My doctor said it could be caused by a deficiency such as magnesium affecting the nerves, I'm guessing he's right as I do find magnesium supplements help, if I don't take them for a few days it comes back BUT magnesium can cause diarrhoea so its a double-edged sword. Hot baths seem to help ease it for a little bit but with my low blood pressure its not the best idea in the world lol!!

I've had a little bit of restless legs.  My dr. suggested tonic water--the gin's optional.

this was a problem for me for a while until i found out i was anemic. iron pills and a b-12 sublingual supplement helped me. acupuncture only gave me a reprieve of a few days. i only got it at night though.

I had some Restless leg issues too. If I remember correctly, my hematologist thought it was related to an iron deficiency anemia issue.

I've never been diagnosed, but I am severely anemic and the only time I did have problems with it was when I was put on Prevacid. It was so bad that I had to stop, it was driving me crazy.

I get it quite abit as well, and I do a lot of night shifts at work and it can be very distressing when you are trying to relax and just cant sit still for 5 minutes !! I put it down to working nights but it seems like a lot of CD sufferers experience it.
I am also anaemic and have problems with my thyroid so dont know if that has anything to do with it.

Quinine to order at iherb works for me. Also leg cramps improves. /Bee

I have personally had great success with the antioxidant pycnogenol, which is getting a great deal of press lately. I suffered for 10 years before this product. Well, I started a multi vitamin and the RLS has become much much better. It took about 10 days but it finally stopped. Thanks for all the tips!

And welcome to Healingwell. I am sorry your posts have not been responded too. On this current posting it is attached to an older post and some folks don't go back and read them if they think they already responded to it. As for taking the magnesium with your meds, it might be a good idea to run it by your doctor or pharmacist. I do know for me magnesium can cause diarrhea or looser stools. Hope it works well for your RLS.
