Hot flushed face with body chills?

Just curious if any of you ever experience a flushed hot feeling in your face but you feel like your body is freezing?  It's kinda how I feel if I'm getting sick with a flu or something.  I feel like I can't get my body warmed up, but my face is on fire and bright red.  This happens usually in the evenings after about 5 or 6 pm.  Kinda weird but it seems like maybe it's CD related as every other thing that is wrong with me happens to be!!

I definitely get that sometimes. When I'm not feeling well my whole face will go hot and red and my body will still feel freezing.. sometimes hot. It sucks! Taking a tylenol usually helps me though. It also happens to me in the evening (my face is quite red right now!)

I get that way often since I started taking 6MP. I especially feel that way when having a bowel movement during a flare up!!
Tylenol is what helps me through it as well.... it also happens to me during the evening hours around 5-7 pm.
have a 2 year old son and it becomes so hard to take care of him sometimes.


30 year old female. diagnosed with UC in 2009. Have been in a flair since as Lialda, Rowasa enemas, Apriso and Colozal didnt work.
started 6MP a month a go...
multi vitamins, Iron, probiotics

I get the same thing esp right before i am going to be sick. I get goose bumps all over. People know i am going to be sick i don't have to tell them they can look at me and know im sick alot of the times.

I get that way in the middle of a bad painful D attack. I'll feel real hot, yet get chilly. Sometimes I'll even feel like throwing up. But usually goes away once the attack is over.

I have been getting that burning flushing a lot. I used to think it was caffeine related becuase he would happen every afternoon after lunch. I went caffeind free for almost two years and still had the bruning flushing. I usually feel cold all over, but it does not necessarily only happen when i flare or feel sick.
Finally, someone mentioned salicylates. I think that is what causes the burning flush for me. There are salicylates in cola...everytime I drank cola I flush. I noticed several other salicylate high foods or drinks caused it also. Try a google search on salicylate foods to see if you have a correlation. It may just be me.
