Hey guys, I had my gastroscopy done today. I hadn't had one done in over a year so my doctor wanted to see what was going on because he suspected that I may have Crohn's higher up in my small intestines. I'm probably having a pill cam done next. I'm a bit confused about
my results, I was wondering if anyone could tell me what they mean. I'll type out from the report. My stomach and esophagus were both normal.
Duodenum: There was evidence of duodenitis in the 2nd portion of the duodenum. The mucosa appeared atrohpic.
What is atrophic duodenitis?! Does that mean that I have Crohn's in my duodenum? I really hope this doesn't mean I have Celiac disease too or something, it was the first thing that popped into my head. I did the blood tests for it like 2 years ago and they were negative though.
In the picture, one side of the duodenum is ridged and normal, but the other side looks really weird and a lot flatter.
