Humira survival techniques... any suggestions?

My 20 yr daughter just started Humira on Monday, in the pen form. I am just wondering if anyone has any suggestions to make things easier on her after. She was very tired and flu-ish after her loading doses., and the next day.

If you have any tips that would be great!

Other than lots of fluids and acetaminophen, I can't think of anything I used to combat the flu-like feelings I sometimes got/get after taking a anti-TNF. I have noticed that the flu-like feelings I got have subsided after the first 2-3 doses. I hope the Humira works well for her.

I also noticed that the day after fatigue went away after a couple months. Good luck.

I got really sick after my first dose, now I take them at night before bed, so I sleep through some of the side effects...

I must have been one of the lucky ones because I never had a reaction while on Humira. I started at one pen every two weeks, then one every week, and finally two every week. It just stopped working. Now I am on a trial drug called Ustekinumab.

What can you tell us about this trial medication, Ustekinumab. I am invited to partcipate in the study, but I am terrified after I read all that the medication, and the study intails. Do you have any side effects? what is your opinion on this study ? Thank you.
