I started with "Brasco Broth," which came from Jordin Rubin's book "Guts to Glory," and used his book as a guide for a 3 weeks. I like the way his book lays out foods into categories. I then picked up "Breaking The Vicious Cycle" and have used that as my primary diet. I'm 4 months into that diet, and doing well. I also just picked up "Nourishing Traditions" by Sally Fallon and LOVE this book! You still have to watch what you eat, find your triggers, and adjust recipes accordingly, but her book is a massive treasure trove of information and recipes. Have you started a food journal yet? I have found, at the beginning of my diagnosis, that this is an invaluable tool. I write down bowel movements, pain or symptoms, and what I eat, so I can track if anything sets me off.
Take a few moments to breathe, and relax. You sound like you are a very capable person, and I'm sure you will get a handle on this soon. Remember that Crohn's is an individual disease. You have to discover what you are comfortable with in treatment and what you feel works best for you.
Please feel free to contact me. I would love to talk with you.
Blessings and stay strong,
