just wanted to answer your RPLS worries with Ustekinumab.

past months i noticed a few of you were concerned of a similar "tysabri" PML type reaction or brain issue with Ustekinumab.

Here is the DATA: Hope it helps.

Reversible posterior leukoencephalopathy syndrome:
One case of reversible posterior leukoencephalopathy syndrome (RPLS) was observed during the clinical development program, which included 3,523 ustekinumab-treated subjects. The subject, who had received 12 doses of ustekinumab over approximately 2 years, presented with headache, seizures, and confusion. No additional ustekinumab injections were administered and the subject fully recovered with appropriate treatment.

If RPLS is suspected, discontinue ustekinumab and administer appropriate treatment.

RPLS is a neurological disorder not caused by demyelination or a known infectious agent. RPLS can present with headache, seizures, confusion, and visual disturbances. Conditions with which it has been associated include preeclampsia, eclampsia, acute hypertension, cytotoxic agents, and immunosuppressive therapy. Fatal outcomes have been reported

Immunosuppressive agents/phototherapy: The safety of ustekinumab in combination with other immunosuppressive agents or phototherapy has not been evaluated. Ultraviolet-induced skin cancers developed earlier and more frequently in mice genetically manipulated to be deficient in both IL-12 and IL-23 or IL-12 alone.1

The safety data reflect exposure to ustekinumab in 2,266 psoriasis subjects, including 1,970 exposed for at least 6 months, 1,285 exposed for at least 1 year, and 373 exposed for at least 18 months.

Because clinical trials are conducted under widely varying conditions, adverse reaction rates observed in the clinical trials of a drug cannot be directly compared with rates in the clinical trials of another drug and may not reflect the rates observed in practice

Any questions regarding side effects... clinical trials or anything.. I can tell you pretty much for ANY drug. Even drug approvals etc..

Oh well, that's ok. I have a ton of favorite sites I use to keep up-to-date with new therapies and studies as well; some that require "false" medical credentials :)

I just like to see the actual source/website link, when folks on message boards post information that has been obviously cut and pasted.

i would like your opinion on Protista, eukaryotic organisms, phyla 27, tryparosomes, dinoflagellates and giardia.  Entamoaeba and anything regarding symbionits.

Protista ? is not an FDA approved Drug. Organisms? Multicellular? Can't help u there.
