Starting Humira Thursday - Fistula

Hi, I am starting Humira Thursday for fistula (intestinal - vaginal). I have been on cipro & flagyl for 2 months with no improvement in the fistula. It took 2 weeks (and what felt like numerous phone calls) for the insurance to approve the humira. I had used remicaide 10 yrs ago for fistula and it worked, but never had humira, and it was a lesser fistula. Anyone had any success with Humira for fistula? It would be great if it worked for all the other issues too, but the fistula is the bane of my existence, it makes life so yukky.

on: 50 mg prednisone, cipro, flagyl, lialda, oxycodone

I too have just started taking Humira for a fistula. Had surgery around Halloween and am now left with a very significant sized wound in my nether regions that is healing resistant after 4+ months. Also had taken Remicade more than a decade ago with great success but developed a serum reaction 2 years ago when fistula returned with a vengeance. Attempted surgery after suffering since then. Am hoping the Humira will work like the Remicade once did. Started 2 weeks ago and seeing some healing taking place. Here's to hoping! Good luck!

29Lancelot I also had a fistila surgery in October and wound is slow to close - stuck at about 85%, my GI wants me to start on remicade to help close the wound.
