Bleeding - HELP

Ok, I'm officially freaked out now.  I've had my standard steady left side pain for over a week, steadily getting worse.  Hurts to even push on my left side, can't lay on it.  Right under ribs, around to the back.  Just went to the restroom and it was mostly blood, a little bit of stool.  I am completely freaked, and my GI's nurse is on vacation and I cannot get anyone on the phone.  ER?  Yes?  No?  Help.  :(

 

yes, i would say just to ring your usual number, surely someone must be covering for the doctor while he and the nurse are on holiday. Otherwise i would just ring the Emergency Room. Bleeding does occur with colitis but it is unusual for people with colitis to haemorrhage so try not to worry too much. The bleeding could be caused by local erosion. Does this help? GOOD LUCK
