I also had tried some very expensive, refrigerated brands and had horrible side effects. That is my point. If you have been taking them for at least 3 weeks and your symptoms have not improved or changed, it isn't the right brand for YOU, no matter how much you paid for it and no matter who recommended it.
I spent the better part of a year trying different brands and having terrible results. I gave up and figured that probiotics were a waste of money and everyone was crazy who took them. A few years later, my doctor recommended that I try a different brand, after the initial "die off", this brand worked for me. Now I am a convert. I can tell if I don't take the probiotic and I increase my dose every time I have to be on antibiotics. If you find the right one for you, it can make a huge difference. It just takes time, patience and trial and error.
