Constipation could be start of a flare/obstuction?

Good morning everybody. I'm currently have a little bout with constipation and it always scares me that it could be the start of a flare, inflammation or an obstruction (although I have never had an obstruction). What are some of your experiences with constipation and are there any reasons to be worried? The only Crohns symptoms I'm having is my normal bit of stomach pain, gas, and a bit of blood in the stool. (Not enough to alarm a Crohnie)

Most of my life with Crohns has been with constipation. I take stool softners nightly in order to keep things softer and easier to pass. Otherwise, I feel fine. Sometimes diet and meds can cause the constipation too. Hope that helps.

Thanks Nanners! I just hate the feeling in which I keep eating (I love food) and nothing comes out the other end lol.

Everything I've ever read about Crohns talks about excessive diarrhea being a symptom of Crohns.  I've never had diarrhea as a result of my Crohns...only constipation.  I'd be more worried about stomach pain accompanying the constipation than constipation in and of itself...
