".....even the most terrible has helped me to learn,,, how to see . Its not always with the eyes ."
Yes, yes, and yes again Sniper! Thank you so much! Even though I'm a relative newbie here, I can't help but notice how sometimes this Crohn's thing just gets people down. But there is so much that is alive around us every day, if we just take a moment to stop and see. A friend of mine often asks, "what have you done for yourself today?" For some Crohnies, that might be hard to do. But like you said, it's just about taking even a short time to enjoy something that is around you. I love the image you gave. I would love to wake up to that every morning. I live in a city and don't have that. But what I do have is a quiet front porch, the trees, the car noise (yes, even that proves that there's life out there!), and a peaceful moment to myself before the day begins. It's at these times that I love the most. The quiet and the solitude to reflect on all of the good that I have been given in this life. That truly, I am blessed.
I will carry this image with me today as I go about my day. Please post and remind us often of the things that you see. I think it is vital that we share the good in life with each other.
BTW Sniper.....I don't know your story, but if you are talking about Vietnam.....thank you. Thank you for your willingness to fight for my freedom.
