Does anyone have any home remedies. I can't get my hands on ginger ale, I dont want to take Phenergan during the
day. Any suggestions???

Are you avoiding phenergan because it makes you sleepy or are you just trying to stay away from meds? My doc switched me from phenergan to zofran and it works so much better for me and doesn't make me tired (I'm sure that is not the case for everyone though).

I wish I had something to recommend that you would have around the house- but unfortunately I'm in the exact same boat right now and I haven't been able to get my nausea under control

Zofran is wonderful, and it doesn't cause drowsiness. Nauzene works some of the time, it's over the counter (you can get it for about $4 at Walmart). You can also try sucking on peppermint candies (old Christmas candy canes work great in a pinch). Deep breathing and meditation might help as well.

small baked potato with the skin. just microwave a small potato and also eat the skin. there's something in the skin that helps with nausea. works for me. peppermint works too. try some ginger. fresh or the in the bottle kind. that's good for inflammation too.

I would suggest you talk to your doctor about Zofran. I really like it as it controls the nausea without making you sleepy. And they have the sublinguals that work when you are having a hard time absorbing. Hope that helps.

Thanks guys. I've had Zolfran in hospital & it worked then. I thought it only came in injection form. So
it's good to know I can get it. Meanwhile, Keith got me some ginger, so it's not so bad.

For some reason saltines with just a bit of butter on them help me. The combination of salt and fat seem to settle my tummy. But I also use Zofran and Tigan.

My husband did well on zofran as well when he suffered from a stomach flu a few months back. He had no side effects from it. They have it both in tablet and injection form. In the hospital, they gave it to him in injection, but sent him back home with a script for the tablet form.
