Hi. i'm new to this forum. Diagnosed in 1994 -1st year of college. In and out of remission for years. Had surgery 8/09 for very large abscess and fistulas. Was on remicade and 6mp at the time. Got a loop illeostomy, supposed to have been for only 2 months, but intestines STILL haven't healed enough to get it reversed. Switched to Humira after surgery. Doc added imuran 2 wks ago... starting to feel bad again. Tenderness at the abcess site and loss of appetite. Wondering if I should go back in or just wait it out...

Current meds: Humira, 6mp, Prozac and Xanax ( depression and anxiety)

Hi, I'm new here too. My hubby is the one with CD, but I'm trying to learn all I can so I can help him as much as I can. He was diagnosed last year.

I'm sorry you're having trouble and pain. If it were me, I wouldn't wait....but I'm the paranoid type! Hahaha!

Welcome to the forum! (handshake) its great to vent here when you need to, everyone here understands. Each situation is different but yet similiar. Forgive my spelling. I had IT on my side as well a while back, mine was for like a year almost until the reversal. The disease went from UC to Crohns and well ... life SUCKS! I like that I am "normal" on the outside but my "life" in general ain't no normal when sitting on the toilet becomes almost a hobby you end up doing it so often. :o/
I hate being medicated and I hate not being able to eat - even health foods send me running.
Well either way - I wish you a lot of success and hopefully your life will shine with joy.

Hi Stillhere2010 and welcome to the best Crohns site out there. You will find alot of support and love here.

Is it possible that the Imuran is what is upsetting your system? It can cause nausea and loss of appetite until your body adjusts to the med. I would try taking your Imuran with a good meal and see if that helps.
