So, I have decided to change jobs and go back to my last Company. I have accepted the position and am ready to start in the next couple of weeks, they are just waiting on the results of my pre-employment drug test. I am under the care of a pain management doctor and have been for the past couple of years. I always get my prescript
ions filled at the same pharmacy, have had the same Doctor for the entire time and take my medication exactly as prescribed. Due to HIPAA regulations, they would not let me provide any information on medical conditions or current medications prior to the test. I was told that if I come up positive, someone will call and talk with me about
it to see if there is a viable medical explanation for the presence of Opiates. Has anyone else had this experience and is there anything I need to know or do up front? I have typed up a list of all of my medications, the RX number, instructions and information for the Doctors that prescribed them. I have also made copies of 2 months worth of actual Percocet prescript
ions and I have the label and leaflet info that CVS re-printed for me..................I have never had to think about
this before and I want to make sure that this will not impact my job.
Any thoughts?
