I admit it--I'm a wimp when it comes to being nauseated. I have a high tolerance for my other pains but getting nauseous makes me want to cry. What can I do in the short and long term to stop upset stomachs and get rid of that "oh my god I'm going to puke" sensation?
I know I need to avoid fried foods, that triggers it the most. But some times I can't pin down why I feel ill and just want it to go away. I've tried drinking water, eating crackers to settle my stomach, but sometimes I'm too nauseated for wanting to eat anything. Are there OTC meds I can try? I asked my doc and he said just to wait it out which isn't a very satisfying solution. What works for you? And also, since I'm thinking of it, what triggers your nausea? Maybe its something I haven't considered and can eliminate. Thanks! Allison
