My wife, being the gracious angel that she is, just grits her teeth and says "At least your system is working!". She's seen me when it's not, and she'd rather have me stinky than doubled over, down for the count.

thats why i eat papayas, they take the odor out our poops and farts. also i have had cd for 40 years and the anxiety i have from not going in public or was to embarrases d to go in public,terrible,I could write a book about the experiences we all have faced with this sad issue,currently awaiting ssdi decision on permanent disability

Sniper- He's done that before...makes me soo mad, just farts (silently) then grabs the comforter and pulls it over my head and laughs...
when I was pregnant with my daughter, he actually farted( a REALLY bad one) and quickly locked the car doors, well before i had time to unlock them, i puked all over the side of the car, he did learn not to ever do that again while I was pregnant, haha

Looks like I am in the minority here on this. I say she is lucky I don't float the top sheet to the ceiling! I use the master bath. I turn on the fan and I get to "work". I put all the bathroom fans on timers so they can be left on and I go back to bed.

Just kidding about her being lucky, but the rest is what it is.

@Roni, I can't help you there except to say enjoy it when you can, haha, and try to avoid the foods that make you stink the most! For me one big culprit is ginger, especially when eaten along with garlic!

Related story: my boyfriend once entered a room moments after I'd let loose a particularly vile toot. He made a face, sniffed the air, and went into the kitchen. When I asked him what he was doing he said he was checking to see if he'd accidentally left any meat sitting on the counter to rot! This was two years ago and it still makes me laugh.

He got me back good though... a week or so later he decided to "be a gentleman" and take a few steps away from me before letting rip. Trouble was, he stepped directly between me and a fan, blowing it straight at me! To this day he claims he didn't notice the fan there.

LOL! Guess that is my problem, I would probably not point that out. The good thing is between the Navy, this disease, and the meds, I have lost most of my sense of smell. But I use to be able to tell if someone washed their hands after they used the restroom, just by standing within about 3 feet of them. Which was handy when I had other people serving me food.

MTX and vomiting thru my nose more then 5 times a day for a year did it for me, but you should not do that!

High levels of Estrogen has been linked with a keener sense of smell.

MMMNavy, see theres where us men got the sh** end of the stick again. Women have better noses because of high estrogen but men with high testosterone levels just go bald. No wonder we stink up the joint. Its a test to see if the ladies have good noses. I've known men to stop mid beer sip , totally mesmerized by a women with a nice set of nostrils. And what pray tell do the ladies look for. Nope, it aint the bald guy. Most of them leave with the stinky guy with an IQ that matches his boot size as long as he's wearing a belt buckle the size of a hub cap.. So next time your man passes gas, remember, hes just checking your estrogen level....
