I just got back from a road trip and let me tell you, thanks to this lovely disease I visited many more restrooms, rest areas, porta-potties, backsides of trees, etc., from pretty clean to approaching trainspotting, than I ever would've imagined before. I got to wondering what options there are, for when you can't find a place to go, or just get tired of going so much.

1. pants
2. diapers
3. bucket with bags
4. install camp toilet as car seat
5. butt bag or catheter (does such a thing exist?)
6. get an RV
7. load up on prednisone and hope you don't die in a road rage incident

Wow,  that's good and timely as we are leaving on a road trip tomorrow.  It does kinda stress ya, I was thankful there were no cops around comin home from work last week . . . much less in the wild wild west.  M gonna be lookin for the golden arches tomorrow . . . .

I say install a toilet in the back seat of a van. I had a bad incident this week too. This time, mine was more cramps than diarrhea. Ugh! It was my own fault for eating a spicy lunch. Still, even at best, my stomach messes up when I travel. At one point I was having bad cramps and thought I'd have to crap in a garbage bag we happened to have in the car. Luckily, the urge passed. It's not easy in a car in a traffic jam with cramps. I am soooo glad I didn't have to do that as I know someone would have seen me.

I sold my car and bought a mini van and put one of those camping port-o-potties in the back (I removed the very back bench seat, the front passenger and the 2 seats behind the fronts seats are all bucket seats so it's easy access for me to go from the front to the back and "do my thing" when necessary....I have to say that this has also relieved my extream anxiety that I used to have about leaving the house....it's probably not good that I refuse to drive in a car anymore but who the hell cares, I get out of the house now and I'm not a total emotional wreck over it anymore and that's more important than the dependancy of travelling in my van only. When I'm cured of this crapty disease then I'll drive in a car again!

I'd like to manufacture a car seat with a secret compartment underneath. You slide back the top portion of the seat to reveal the compartment below. You can poop while you're driving and no one would know (unless there's an unfortunate passenger in the care who would have to suffer).

Wouldn't people passing by notice your pants are pulled down? That's assuming you're not in a really tall vehicle. I drive a sedan and I know someone would pass me in traffic and see that I had no pants on even though I have pretty dark tinted windows....EEEK! Oh, and do you think you could poop and drive at the same time? I'm not sure I could...

Oooh, you could also put in one of those privacy shield things like in limos and just require your passengers be in the back seat at all times just in case...it would still be unfortunate for them, but you'd have a little bit of privacy!

Feeling rough today but these posts really made me smile just picturing the scene ! Maybe there is a gap in the market - any inventors out there ?

There's also those bathroom finder apps, which I forgot about. But I also don't have an iPhone. My GPS has rest areas which is nice and I paid attention to those "Next Rest Area in XX miles"! There were a couple of times when I thought about just swinging the door open and dropping trou right there in a parking lot and hope a cop wasn't around, but thankfully it didn't come to that.
