Great News on Stricture

Well it seems like my stricture has disappeard in only 3 weeks. It was found via colonscopy and dialted back open. The biopsy showed it was caused by inflammation. All it took was a antibiotic cocktail of xifaxin, tindamax, and cipro. The MRe actually showed no signs of inflammation or scar tissue anywhere in the intestines. Hopefully this lasts a long time!!!

Yay!! Glad it was found and treated before it scarred up. Excellent news. Hope all the inflammation stays away.

great news!

When you say it was dilated during the colonoscopy was that with a baloon dilation? I am going in for one of those at the end of August and hoping it will provide me with some relief on my stricture.

I am actually not sure how they dialiated it back open, but whatever they did it worked. I don't think it was the balloon dialation so I think the doctor may have just stretched it back out with the scope.
