Pain meds- is this a lot?

So i am having a scope done tomorrow and the nurse from the endo lab called to go over a history and current meds I am on.  I was giving her the long list and got to my Norco-10/352... she asked me how often I took it and I said I can take it up to 4 times a day- but usually I take 1 tab 3 times a day.  She replied- EVERYDAY... um yes usually I have a lot of pain.  She said that was a lot and I take it too often.  excuse me... It is a Rx I get, I have real pain- this just made me so mad.  Some people don't get it.  Sometimes I want to just shoot people the finger and get a hotel room to be alone...lol.  Don't tell me to take some pepto when my stomach is upset!

chronsguy- that sounds like something my Mom would say! ha!

You will always get the odd nurse/doctor that takes that stance. I put it down to them not knowing
your full history. She was an endo nurse, chances are she hadn't even read your notes!!
As long as your prescribing doc knows and cares and wouldn't worry about the small people:=)

sigh...I really get concerned when the doctor has your disease and says it is really not that bad! Tells you to modify your diet...etc. Seriously I cried, I was so mad and in no shape to do anything about it.
