My husband had a resection at the ileocecal valve last Friday. He was home from the hospital on Tuesday and is doing wonderful!! No need for pain meds since Tuesday. He is currently on azathioprene and entocort and GI surgeon thinks that is good since all of his Crohn's was removed with surgery. GI Dr. wants to start Humira. they are going to chat so we will see:) Thanks to all of you on this forum. I have been reading your stories and have learned so much and have gotten so much strength from them.

Must have had it laproscopic, huh? Glad to hear he is recovering so well, and I pray for a long long remission for him. Do make sure he stays on maintenance meds, we don't want any repeats:)

Thanks all for your well wishes. Thurs is our follow up and we will see if it is just azathioprene or that and Humira...but for sure he will be on maintenance meds of some type.
