Hi, everyone:
I do not post much here, since my Crohn's has been fairly quiet. Yesterday I ate 2 corns for lunch and went to a park with my family. Everything was fine. On my way home before dinner time, I was hungry and thirsty. So I bought and drank a bottle of cold Coke. That made my stomach full. But I still managed to eat my regular dinner.
From 8 or 9 PM, I started having moderate abdominal pain. about 3 AM this morning my abdominal pain did not go away, and I started feel very nauseous, though I did not vomit. The pain and nausea kept me awake for most of the night. For a short period of time, I was sweating and almost passed out. I called my primary doctor's hotline and the attending physician asked me to go to the ER.
At ER, the doctor asked me to have an abdominal CT scan, which I declined, because it is not only expensive, but will create a lot of radiation exposure. But I did have the abdominal X-Ray and blood test, both of which came back normal. At the time I left ER, I felt a lot better. I came to work with very sleepy eyes. Maybe I should be more careful with what I eat or drink in the future, especially cold bottled Coke.
