Congrats on being pregnant!
I've had two very high risk pregnancies with lots of health problems including CD flares and obstructions.
What I did to get up to 37 weeks was eat the exact same foods everyday that were natural, unprocessed, and no sugar. I also took probiotics, digestive enzymes, and got on pentasa and prednisone.
By 4 months, the obstructions stopped, but then I had gestational diabetes and had to go on insulin. 2nd trimester was better, and in my third trimester, the CD was hurting again, but no obstructions. Right after I had my baby I really flared, but got it under control with more meds and stronger probiotics.
I was very strict with myself and only ate treats on a really good day, and even though I suffered BIG TIME and denied myself Dairy Queen Ice Cream most days, and was even considering a resection while pregnant because I was so sick, I made it to 37 weeks and both pregnancies turned out fine.
So I suggest you stay on the pred, maybe go on pentasa, change your diet to all natural and nutritious, and maybe get on some maternity vitamins, probiotics and digestive enzymes too.
Oh, for the first three months, my bowels were making some serious adjustments and that is why I started having obstructions and gas pain too. I think by your second trimester, it'll be so much better.
Best wishes!
