I'm still feeling pretty groggy and delicate, so am taking things gently today. I'm *so* glad I spent yesterday in bed - I can feel my body thanking me for it.

tlc for relationships:

* write the two cards I owe (done)
* contact L
* email my aunt
* phone M
* bonus points if I write any of the letters I owe

tlc for life:

* Christmas preps (been doing this since April, because I *hate* the mad rush come October - November).
* put money on card
* work out what toiletries I need and
* order them
* make my folder for this week
* work out what things I want to cook: put recipes in weekly folder
* add needed wrappings etc to shopping list

Plus usual tlcs:

* drink water
* eat healthy food
* take meds
* exercise / stretch / movement (done some already)
* tlc for body
* spirituality stuff
* spend some time outside
* make bed (turf cat off bed and wash sheets?)
* keep plugging away at dishes.


Bonus points if I cook one of the recipes I want to make (muffins?).

I don't have to do all of these, but some will be good rather than faffing around.

For the newbies, this is a support thread for those of us who need a bit of motivation to get through the day, or who are trying to live healthily, or lift themselves out of depression or anxiety, or are feeling overwhelmed, or whatever. Ivy, I'm glad the rest helped you! Send me some muffins if you end up making them!

I've had a kinda busy weekend. Friday night went and met some friends and hung out (it was my ex's bday) then tonight went to a friends house and celebrated another friend's bday. Tomorrow is my sister's bday and my family will all go out to dinner. It's a birthday filled weekend! I got my ex a lottery ticket, but unfortunately he didn't win. I told him if he won millions, he had to give me 2. Sadly, we didn't win :( Guess I'll have to keep looking for a job.

Sunday's to do:
*go get card for sis
*steam mop living room/bathroom
*load of laundry (maybe)
*eat easy food during the day and pig out at dinner (we always go to Italian and their fettucini alfredo is yummy!)
*refill vitamin D

I hope everyone's enjoying their weekend!

Well, so much for my good intentions. I lasted until 10.45, then crashed in bed with nausea and fatigue, and proceeded to sleep much of the day away :-/.

Eating healthily didn't happen either, as queasiness can preclude that.

I've been feeling really down the last few days: as you all know, it's so hard feeling horrible all the time, and so hard not having the life you want because symptoms rule your life.

Anyway. I've emailed my aunt, phoned M, who wasn't at home (I left a message), and done some Christmas prep. Have also pulled a dozen weeds and done the breakfast dishes. Woohoo.

Bless you Ivy, you keep soldiering on. Good on you for the xmas prep I used to start really early when the kids were younger and pick up things throughout the year and come Oct/Nov I would be finished. It was a great feeling knowing that I wouldn't have to battle the xmas crowds and buy something just for the sake of it because I couldn't find anything else.
I can't see me achieving much if anything to day just feel totally wiped out may even take a leaf out of your book and go back to bed !

Best thing to do sometimes...

I agree with you about the crowds. Much better to have it all out of the way before everybody else realises it's nearly December and starts panicking. Easier to find good gifts when you start early too.

I'm just glad not to be American. Can you imagine "doing" Thanksgiving and then having to turn around and "do" Christmas, and all in snow and freezing cold?!!!! Me, I'd be hibernating inside and not wanting to go outside at all, in that sort of weather...

wow, guys your all so organized! christmas??? i dont even start to consider it till november, although i will be trying to save money up. Mum deserves something decent this year, especially since family did such a sterling job when it was her birthday (she got one card....theres 3 of them...oh and two texts)

I did something rather dumb last night. I ordered pizza in for dinner. I ordered my FAVE pizza, chicken and sweetcorn. I suffered....i still suffer though not as bad now. I still have 3 slices left, but i will see if my mate will eat them. I just dont think i can do that to myself again! I have zero sympathy for myself, i knew it was a bad idea. I havent had 'fibre' in weeks if not months. I'm so silly!

Kittens are going potty cos its raining and they cant go out. So house is currently being destroyed around me.

Ivy you do so much everyday, at the moment i struggle to keep up with the dishes and deal with the animals! you write letters and do the whole life thing. You rock my world!

Vixen, your a seriously good mum. My mum has taken me to uni ect but the last few times she has moaned about it rather alot!

Becky - enjoy all the birthdays!! i love it when people have birthdays, i used to really go to town. I threw surprise birthdays for loads of people. full house decoration, cake, booze the works! Only downside was when people offered to help out money wise then 'forgot'.

Sunday TLC

* rest up
* find out when my mate is coming up
* keep kittens from totally trashing the place
* get dressed
* dishes?

Well, it didn't rain yesterday so I had to do yard work. Mow grass, weed eat, pick up limbs . My back hurts so today I'm easy rider . Read the paper , work in my shop. I am building some parts for my scooter. I shape them out of styrafoam, then fiberglass the part , melt the foam with acetone and then paint. Its kinda fun and cheeper than factory parts. Did I mention , all my money goes to doctors ...

Birthday dinner was yummy as usual! I got fettucini alfredo...it'll haunt me later, but I enjoyed it! I've got to go get sis a lottery ticket (that's her present!) tomorrow because I didn't have cash to get one on the way to dinner.

I got home and had just enough light left to cut the grass.

Gonna do 1 load of laundry now and watch some tv.

Ivy, don't give yourself a hard time. Sometimes the best thing for you is to not be productive. It's probably what your body needs right now.

As for Christmas...I have 1 present purchased, and until I make some more money, I won't buy any more. Last year Mom bought me something to give to Dad, and Dad got something for me to give to Mom. Hopefully this year I'll be able to buy presents myself.

Ivy:  Hope you feel better Monday (i think its probably already Monday am where you are).  Did finish my summer goal of clearing the garage for winter . . .just in time as it truly is fall  and cool here already!  Am in the middle of moving summer clothes out and winter clothes in, but had to rest the knees, stayed in bed all day Saturday.  Mondday am picking up meds and running errands.  Cycle of life starts over!

Wow. I don't start to do a thing for Christmas until about December 20th... :-/

Though I have learnt my lesson; never go to London - in particular Hamley's toy shop - on the 22nd December. My mum and I did that last year and it was hell on earth. Bitterly cold (bitter cold rain turned into even more bitter cold snow) and horrifyingly crowded everywhere.

@Ivy - I hope you feel better today. Never feel bad about retiring to bed; if you slept the day away it's 'cos it's what your body actually needs, not because you're being lazy. Tbh you put my meagre TLCs to complete and utter shame. I'm useless =/
