Nanners gave you some great advice. I would like to add to drink plenty of liquids as to not get dehydrated. Everytime I would get up to use the restroom or eat I would walk around my house as much as possible. It wsn't pleasant but it will help your bowels and losen your body muscles from lying in bed so much. Even when you start feeling better take it easy for at least 6 weeks... no lifting. I have a hernia to prove it. I also stuck to softer foods at the beginning, soups are also great option. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
