for those of you on Humira

I am doing it every two weeks (had the third dose today) but I thought I saw others on here who have it more regularly. I think it is worth bringing up to your dr... but he/she may have you wait a little longer into your treatment before upping the dose to weekly. Glad to hear you are getting some relief so far- maybe it will work for even longer periods of time, the longer you take the drug?

Hi, I have been on Humira weekly since April of this year. I was on the every other week schedule for 6 months before switching to the weekly injections. I also experienced an increase of symptoms (diarrhea, pain, and nausea) around day 8 and would slowly go downhill until my next injection. Since starting the weekly injections I finally have achieved remission which is the first time since my DX. I also feel the addition of the baby dose of methotrexate also facilitated my remission. I think that I may be an exception but I did not have any trouble getting my insurance to approve the weekly injections but that may be due to the efficiency of my GI's office, again I think another exception. So it is possible to have weekly injections and I have found it to be extremely beneficial.

Thanks so much. Due my next injection on wed so will bring it up with the IBD nurse then. I live in the UK so fortunately don't have to rely on insurance, thanks again for your replies. Bev x
