Down in the dumps

Actually living in AZ, I love it when it gets rainy and overcast.  Reminds me of growing up in NE Ohio.  Typically rain and storms only stick around for hours.  You might not think it, but 300+ days of sunshine a year is actually kinda depressing.  But hey now, interfere with MY plans well then I might be with you there Sniper.

(((Sniper))) I hate the rain too, and I live in Southern California. It just makes my body ache something fierce, so I have come to dread it too. Hugs!

mdf, that's so funny because we are just the opposite in KY.  It's so gray here all winter that all we want is a blue sky once in a while!  An old friend moved from KY to CO and commented on how it's always blue in CO and not the "kill yourself gray of Kentucky."  Perfect description. 

Hey Sniper I hate the rain 2 it makes my whole body hurt,,but I live in Nova Scotia so rain is what we get delivered almost everyday in the fall till the snow arrives,,when it leaves and spring is approaching u guessed it rain again it SUCKS,,me and my oldest Lee went 2 c Dane Cook in Moncton and its a 3 and a half hour drive without traffic but add rain and a dark highway and we r hydroplaning all the way home it took us almost 5 hours to get home,,so I know what u r saying it is very depressing my local hospital is literally a 2 minute walk and I'm a smoker I know its bad 4 the disease trust me I was told but it helps the nerves,,but like I said about the hospital so close and I'm there alot and we have 2 go of the property 2 smoke with a double IV in the pouring rain and I am not allowed 2 go 2 my own house 2 get out of the rain,,but we specialize in bones and mental health whom they have a outside shelter 4 them even Styrofoam 2 keep the bum warm in the winter,,but the medical and surgical patients r not allowed in it get that,,I turn every light on in the house when its raining out it takes some of the dread out of the day and crank the tunes usually a little Johny Cash or CCR what ever it takes 2 get me out of my funk,,I hope the mud dries up and the rain stops soon and some sun shines 4 ya soon..

I'm w/you, Sniper. I HATE rain .. and mud. I HATE gray, dreary, dismal days. I"m NOT fond of being cold - but - give me the choice of rain or snow I'll take snow every time. Autumn used to be my favorite time of year, I was never fond of spring because of the rain. But our falls have been getting as rainy and dreary as our springs so ... And, yeah, the gray and rain can really get me down and put my in a funk. (((hugs)))

Bring on Global Warming!!! More heat, less rain. lol Even if my lawn would not be, I know I would be more happy and I think most of those who replyed would be also

I grew up in fairly rainy NYC. Now here it doesn't rain much and so when it does I enjoy it AS LONG as it doesn't last tooooo long. What's too long? More than a day I guess. Funny thing here is the rain is always so cold! Doesn't matter how hot out it is. Back in the northeast it was often a warm rain but when this stuff hits you it is like punishment....... Well that is how I see it. Better get some tractor tread on that scooter pal.

Yeah I hear that weather in WA leads to LOTS of suicides.

Yeah I'm with Randy. I'm in Seattle too - dark when we go to work, dark when we leave. And non stop rain for days at a time. Yuck.
