Remicade and itching

Hello all,
First off thanks to all the great advice and encouragement you all gave me last night.

I had my first remicade treatment today. The whole treatment was actually very nice and relaxing. My treatment ended at 4. Though, tonight my left hand and fingers started to red and to itch. Now my right hand is doing the same.

I feel a little dizzy with a headache too.

Has anybody had this type reaction to Remicade?

I think just keep an eye on it for the time being. Are you running a temperature?

If you have some aloe gel there, that might help the itching.

btw, if the redness spreads, or if you develop a temperature or hives, please call a professional asap.

6 days out from my first remicade infusion and fatigue and nausea have been my main problem. No itching however. You might at least ring in to your docs office and let them know what's up. Absolutely inform your docs before your next infusion. Hope you feel better. smurf

I had to take benydryl, I had a little itching around my fingers it was off and on now I'm at 5th infusion and I don't experience any of that anymore, I have a cough that won't go away, other than that it is eay procedure, I'm at 200 drip, so I'm in and out, it seems that I go in for lunch, start at 10:30 and out at 12:30

I'm dont get the turning red thing but I always get itchy. I take benydryl and tylenol (for headaches) before every infusion. You could try that now and see if it helps but, I would def. keep an eye on it and if it gets worse or if you get or have a fever call your doctor.
