I am a 27 year old male and I have been though a lot of different scenarios for that exact question. I have found nothing is a long term answer (maybe because i get board so easily) I have found video games to be a good time passer. Generally hand held gaming is better for me, like a GameBoy or a PSP because i cant take it into the bathroom or play wile taking a bath or even wile in bed. I also found reading can help but for me does not work as well when in pain (harder to focus) I like to draw or take notes (diet, things I want, food I will eat when I feel better, or items I want to obtain in a game) and have found that to be a fun way to spend a few hours or more. I also take baths a lot though-out the day. It tends to help with the pain and can pass some time even more so when playing my Nintendo DS. Also another idea is magazines. they can tend to be a litter read with more picture to focus on and take your mind away from how bad you feel. I hope this has help and I wish you luck
