Just began prep. Yuck

Doing the Miralax prep for the first time. Have to say it tastes better than the others but still getting nauseous. 2 glasses down. 3 more to go. Then the waiting...I just want it to be over with.

I know your pain. I had to do it in one night in the hospital. My poor mom was the one who coached me through it. At one point when she stepped out of the room I tried to pour the tasty liquid out. I got caught and felt like a kid in trouble. Though you get through it and now we laugh about it. Even though I do not know you but I just keep on trucking at it will be done! Good Luck

The only thing I want to do when my GI mentions a colon scope is cry. The scope is fine but the prep is terrible cry

Thanks for the support. 4 glasses down. One more to go

Can't wait until tomorrow at noon. Once they put in the IV and inject the drugs it's smooth sailing. Anyone else look forward to that part?

That's the goal of the whole thing for me! When the nurse comes in to start my IV, I perk up. They probably think I'm crazy, but it's like getting ready for bed when you know it'll be a REALLY good rest! I also like to see how long I can keep my eyes open when they push meds into the IV. Call me crazy, but that's what suffering through the prep brings you to...being happy about an IV and medicine!

I have to do prep tomorrow night! I have to drink the yukky old-school gallon of stuff but at least this time its flavored! I feel for you but when I start mine tomorrow (my stomach is turning just thinking about it), you will already be done and sleeping like a baby!

Poor you sounds awful - My GI gives me picoprep and it is easy as - one small glass of the stuff at night and another in the morning - really not unpleasant at all - maybe next time ask to try that ?

I am prep'ing tonight ....this post made me smile.

It really does suck and the IV is the best part. I am thinking about it as I drink really nasty stuff. I cannot believe we have to drink such crap....they are all yucky aren't they?

Miralax is way better than Colyte .....ewwww I thought I was drowning .....a whole gallon !! I asked why couldn't I have the one with only a couple of glasses but, they don't like them for dehydration purposes ..... they like to make sure you have plenty fluids. Only thing worse is the dreaded MRI contrast ....I find it really hard to drink! The actual colonoscopy is easy :-)

Yep the scope was fine... funny thing is I have to drink lots of sips of other drinks just to drink the nasty stuff.

I was clean and got a good report. No active chrons...
